A. Adam Glenn, managing editor for Columbia News21, is an award-winning journalist and independent online editor who has served in newsrooms in New York and Washington for 25 years, most recently as senior producer at ABCNews.com. As an independent consultant, his clients include NBC Universal Chairman Bob Wright, the J-Lab at University of Maryland, the Knight Digital Media Center, Rodale and the Rubin Museum of Art. Adam was also managing editor for the 2007 Columbia News21 project on faith in American, and the 2006 project on homeland security.

Ada is co-founder of a citizen journalism training project, I, Reporter, which recently won a prestigious first-round Knight News Media Challenge Grant. He’s also a contributing blogger on the group weblog E-Media Tidbits, an editorial advisory board member of the Society of Environmental Journalists and a member of the Online News Association.

He is an adjunct associate professor at Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism, and at New York University’s Science, Health and Environment Reporting Program. He has also taught journalism in India in 2002 as a Ford Environmental Journalism Fellow. Adam holds a master’s degree in international affairs from the Fletcher School of Law & Diplomacy in Boston and a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Boston University. He has traveled extensively in Western Europe and South Asia.
