Election 2008: What’s At Stake?

The most enthusiastic standing ovation of the morning goes to Minnesota 1^st Congressional District candidate Brian Davis. Davis, who is running against DFL one-term incumbent Congressman Tim Walz in a highly competitive race, brought the crowd to its feet with a roar of approval for his denunciation of global warming as a hoax. In contrast, presumptive Republican presidential nominee John McCain spoke in Oregon about the threat of climate change in May and has put forth a cap-and-trade proposal that would set limits on greenhouse gas emissions.
